Slip resistance testing

Public walkways and roads are designed to prevent people slipping and vehicles skidding.  The surface materials used for industrial and retail floors along with highway roads and footways is designed to prevent the public and workforce from slipping and vehicles excessively skidding.  Owners and managers of such facilities have a duty of care to ensure the surface is compliant and remains compliant with the relative design standards including the Workforce (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992.

Nicholls Colton undertake Slip Resistance (Pendulum BS EN 13036-4:2011) testing to all materials used in the manufacture of factory and retail flooring and road and airport pavement surfaces including identification of suitable cleaning products following spills or long term  deterioration, diesel, petrol or chemical spills to asphalt or fire damage and routine maintenance to highway surfaces.
