Site Technician

Due to recent expansion and increasing workload we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Site Technicians to join our team.  Whilst previous experience of working on construction sites or within a construction laboratory would be advantageous, previous experience is not essential – we will provide all of the training necessary.

The position is based in our Geotechnical and Construction Materials Division, working out of our Leicester office and with site visits throughout  the UK.

The Nicholls Colton Group is a thriving business providing specialist testing and consultancy services to the construction industry.  Now celebrating over 50 years in business, we are busier than ever, and looking for additional staff throughout the Company.

Experience and duties will include

  • Undertaking site sampling and laboratory testing
  • Checking, cleaning and calibrating test equipment
  • Experience within a construction materials, soil and aggregate sampling environment would be advantageous however full training will be provided whatever your level of experience. Previous experience is not essential.

Site Technician Role Requirements

  • Full Driving License
  • CSCS card would be advantageous
  • Good oral, written and numeracy skills
  • Weekend working (this is job dependent and not guaranteed every week)
  • GCSE grade C or above in maths and science (or equivalent)
  • Computer literate

Site Technician Benefits

  • Salary £17,000 – £20,000 depending on experience
