NC Trainee Triumphs in Project Presentation Event

March 2016 – NC Trainee Triumphs in Project Presentation Event

On January 29th Nicholls Colton Trainees Joe Punshon, Joe Cufflin, Peter Kettle and Muhammad Quareshy took part in a competition arranged by Stephenson College, Coalville.  The College split the trainees into various groups, mixing with students from Taylor Wimpey, MEC, Bloor Homes, Davidson Homes and North West Leicestershire District Council.

Each Group had to give a 20 minute Presentation based on projects that the students had selected themselves. The Presentation was given to a panel selected from the college management and employers representatives.  Joe Cufflin’s team chose a project based on building homes for the use of service men and women returning from active duties with serious leg injuries.

All of the students performed well under the scrutiny of the judging panel and it is clear that Nicholls Colton has a bright future after this showing!

With their well thought-through idea of “homes for heroes”, Joe Cufflin’s team won in a close fought competition, and they were rewarded with a £50 prize from the college.

Well done Joe and all the trainees!
