Contracts Manager – R17017

The Nicholls Colton Group is a thriving business providing specialist testing and consultancy services to the construction industry. Now celebrating over 50 years in business, we are busier than ever, and looking for additional staff throughout the Company.

We are looking for a commercially focused Contracts Manager to join the team in our Leicester Forest East Offices.  This critical position within the Nicholls Colton Group is to support our operational teams on projects ensuring our contractual obligations are delivered in line with client requirements and expectations.  Whilst this role is office based there is a requirement to visit sites and attend client meetings

Experience and duties will include:-

  • Experience within infrastructure/highways sectors is required
  • Working in conjunction with Estimating and Operation teams for tenders and ongoing projects
  • Knowledge of civil engineering/building costs
  • Experience of running multiple construction projects
  • Ensuring a high level of quality and compliance with standards throughout the delivery of projects
  • Ensuring any changes to contracts are agreed, priced and formalised
  • Maintaining good relationships with clients to help secure future work

Contracts Manager Role Requirements

  • Ability to produce, control and manage budgets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • HND or degree in civil or structural engineering, construction management or project management
  • Good level of programming and conditions of contract (NEC, ICE etc) knowledge
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills
  • Driving License
